In the pilot phase of the project, electronic service delivery was introduced and successfully deployed in the Fez-Agdal local government office. This phase will scale up the project to include the remaining local government offices in the city of Fez. It will also upgrade, enhance and complete the automation of the Bureaux d'état civil (BEC) by electronically enabling additional citizen-oriented services such as marriage, divorce and residency certificates. At the same time, efforts will be made to enhance stakeholder readiness, establish central and local government linkages, disseminate e-government models, and elaborate an outcome assessment framework and roadmap, with a view to generalizing e-government at the national level.
